As the chief executive of Natura &Co, Joao Paulo Brotto Goncalves Ferreira is tasked with expanding the company’s global presence. He previously worked at Unilever in Brazil and Latin America, where he was Vice President of Supply Chain. He holds an MBA from the University of Michigan.
He has led Natura through the change from a traditional direct selling firm to a modern, digital one. The company’s digitalization has led to productivity growth and 17 consecutive quarters growth.
In January, Natura &Co plans to start trading its shares through ADRs on the New York Stock Exchange. This will allow the group leverage its brand synergies, broaden its product portfolio and reach more than 200 million consumers across the globe.
The company has also created a new senior leadership team to guide the next phase of growth. Roberto Marques will serve as the Group Chief Executive Officer. Angela Cretu, will manage the company’s global operations. She will oversee the management and operations of Natura outside of Latin America.
Prior to joining Natura, Joao Paulo spent twenty years at Unilever, where he was in a variety positions including Vice President of Supply Chain. His last position was Vice President of Operations and Logistics in the company.
Ferreira is also part of the Executive Team of the C-Suite Department. He is not a buy first, ask questions later type of person.
Angela Cretu
Angela Cretu, an Avon veteran and a member of its top management team, will take over Avon’s CEO. Cretu has more than 20 years of experience leading a top beauty brand and is well-positioned to lead Avon’s global operations.
The Avon CEO has been a vocal advocate for women of the world and has embraced the idea of gender empowerment. She has been involved in many campaigns to promote positive change for women in developing countries. One of the most well-known are those to combat the violence against women and encourage women’s economic empowerment.
In addition to her leadership position at Avon Cretu has also held leadership positions at several other companies. She has served as Vice President for South-East Europe, Group Vice President for Central and Eastern Europe, and General Manager of several regions.
She has been given the title of CEO of the Year and the Management Today Champions of Change award for her contributions to the mission of the company over the last year. She was also recognized as a leader for change in the category of Women’s Empowerment by INNOCOS.
The CEO of Avon is passionate about helping women with beauty. Avon has donated US$1.1 million to breast cancer research to date. Avon does not just donate money but also permits employees to express their opinions without fear of being punished.

Fernando J. Acosta

He worked for many years at Unilever before joining avon sales leadership. He has extensive experience in building consumer-oriented businesses in emerging markets. In addition, to his role at Avon as a CEO, he is also an investor and board member at RoC Skincare in New York.
As the Chief Marketing and Social Selling Officer In his role as Chief Marketing and Social Selling Officer, he oversees the evolution of the customer experience at Avon. In addition, he has been responsible for the development of a new digital social selling approach.
Fernando Acosta began his career at Unilever as an apprentice in management. He has worked in Europe as well as the United Kingdom. Later, he was in high-level positions within Unilever’s Latin American operations.
From 1999 to 2004, Avon sales leader commission structure he served as the Category President for Latin America at Unilever. His responsibilities included overseeing the company’s most prominent brands such as Dove. Miguel Fernandez, a former executive vice president at Herbalife will be named the Global President of Avon. He has extensive knowledge of e-commerce, customer management and execution of growth strategies.
